Preparation of the ISPS Code International Ship and Port Facility Equivalent Security Plan

  • With the ISPS Code, the concept of security was introduced to the maritime sector, and under the IMO, new regulations aimed at maritime security—covering ships as well as port facilities—were initiated.

  • The treaty provisions regulating the international obligations of Contracting Governments on maritime security, added to SOLAS 74 as Chapter XI-2, have essentially been adopted as provisions applicable to port facilities open to international maritime transport and to ships of specified standards engaged in international voyages that use these facilities.

  • To prevent potential security threats by sea and to develop countermeasures, our company prepares the Port Facility Equivalent Security Plan under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code for Turkish-flagged ships and port facilities located within Türkiye’s maritime jurisdiction.
