Early Warning System for Steel, Cement, and Lime Production Facilities

Risks: Especially steel production processes require iron to reach very high temperatures. These temperature levels are usually achieved through the combustion of coal or coke. One of the hazards arising in this process is carbon monoxide, which can cause death within minutes. A major risk is that this gas is odorless. In such a case, the affected person loses consciousness.

Solution: The Early Warning System has been developed to allow individuals who detect a local incident to report it to a fire center or another location from this center and to activate fire alarms. At the same time, the system enables efficient evacuation control.

The system is designed to operate in an integrated manner with hazard detectors in the field (fire, gas, carbon monoxide, etc.).

“Man-Down” Alarm: This is the system that reports a local gas leak causing loss of consciousness among employees. When an unconscious person is found, the alarm can be triggered by pressing one of the emergency buttons connected to the system and, following the notification, response activities are effectively supported.
